Design Method

​

This project is supposed to develop an active music playground as a spotlight in Boston’s Innovation District.

Innovation District aims at: maximizing waterfront property, providing open and collaborative spaces, promoting cultural institutions and creating a water landscape that interacts with the community like never before. However, many of these principles are more ideas than reality. The Harbor Walk, a very successful waterfront path that attracts many visitors and residents throughout the year, stops at Pier 4. ICA, although displays a symbolic gesture towards water, does not attract much public activities.
